If I pay for cable, why should i have to sit through mindless commercials. It seems that advertisers have completely bypassed the idea of showing me their product and encouraging me to buy it. Current ads are designed to confuse the watcher by displaying non-product related imagry then flashing the product name. this does not inspire me to engage in mindless consumerism and i hope that it does not encourage that in others. I tend to get more irritated by the constant repitition of the same stupid ads and become dissuaded to patronize the company and I encourage my friends to do the same.

I cannot go anywhere without some kind of product placement being shoved into my face. I have a particular disdain for people promoting a politician. So many people believe that by promoting that person it will make the undecided voter agree with them. I live nearby a school that is used for voting. At the last election, one particular candidate's supporter put leaflets on all the cars on my street. I would assume thier campaign promise was to "clean up the city." Thank you for cleaning the city and polluting my car. I am glad they lost. To encourage voting, i advise against making me clean up after a politician. Though i will probably have to do it anyway if they are Democrat or Republican.

I am so sick and tired of these scumbags who do not understand heavy traffic avoidance policies. To those of you who have to slow down and look at a car wreck: stop it. Usually there are professional authorities that are trained in this sort of situation. let them do their job. the idea of driving is to minimize car crashes and while you are focused on an existing collision you stand a significantly larger chance of creating your own.

On a related note, you sucmbags who wait until the last minute to change lanes should just plow into a tree and save us from having to deal with you on the road. if the right and middle lanes are going very slowly and the left land is empty except for one or two scumbags and an enormous "Merge left" sign visible from at least a mile away this is a sign to wait in line like everyone else. i will not let someone executing this maneuver to merge into my lane. go ahead, crash into me. your failure to merge properly is going to send me laughing all the way to my insurance check. If you cannot drive properly, get of the road.

I am very happy that the majority of news today is focused on how hilton' s jail sentence. There certainly nothing more important that the American people need to know. If anyone is convicted of DUI, they should never be able to drive again. If someone cannot be responsible enough to call a taxi, use the bus or use a designated driver, they are not responsible to be behind the wheel of a 1 1/2 ton weapon. 3 strikes is 3 chances to kill. i am in total favor of these morons killing themselves in an accident but they are not the only ones on the road. about a week ago, lohan got caught DUI and in posession of cocaine. let me restate that: an intoxicated minor at the wheel of a car possibly under the influence of drugs. was she arrested? no. did she get a fine? no. did she get a warning? no.
I wish I could get away with that sort of thing. but i would lose my job permanently if i was caught with either.

I am not against alcohol usage

I am just against morons that endanger the lives of the rest of us.

Finals are done. I will now move all my gear into my car and drive it home in order to drive it all back here on wednesday. This is maritime logic. I heart taking my material posessions for a car ride
